Awards won by Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport International Terminal

The State Airports Authority held a contest in 1998 for the design of Adnan Menderes Airport International Terminal and Multi-storey Car Park. Architect Yakup Hazan won the contest and his project was brought to life by TAV, opening in 2006. A subsequent contest held by the Turkish Structural Steel Society rewarded Adnan Menderes Airport International Terminal and Multi-storey Car Park with the first prize amongst constructed buildings. The building designed by Professional Architect Yakup Hazan most recently won the European Steel Design Award held in 2007 in Luxembourg.
